Joseph Ngere Paciko, listened to a joint report from the Committees on Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation, Legislative and Justice, and Government Assurances Monitoring, Follow-up and Evaluation on the General Co-operation Agreement between South Sudan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.<b><o:p></o:p></b></p><p >The report was presented to the House by the Acting Chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation, Hon. Pro. George Bureng Nyombe.<o:p></o:p></p><p >Bureng said the agreement falls within the remit and mandate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation to attract capital and investment to the country. Chairperson of the Information Committee, Oliver Mori, said the August House unanimously recommended sending the agreement back to the concerned ministry for further refinement before it is tabled again before Parliament.<o:p></o:p></p><p >At the same sitting, the House waived the immunity of two Members of the Transitional National Legislative Assembly to appear before court over criminal charges against them.<o:p></o:p></p><p >Meanwhile, the membership of 74 SPLM-IO members has been revoked, and another 74 members have been appointed.<o:p></o:p></p><p >The House also approved the appointment of a new Chief Whip of SSOA, as well as the revocation and appointment of some of its members.<o:p></o:p></p><p > </p><p > </p><p> </p><p > </p>
