The Vice President for the Service Cluster, Hussein Abdelbagi Akol, and the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for the United Nations Mission in South Sudan, Anita Kiki Gbeho, have discussed fostering inter-party dialogue and the possibility of holding elections in December 2026.
According to the Press Secretary, Vice President briefed the UN Special Representative on plans by a high-level government delegation to visit Bahr el Ghazal and Unity State to spread messages of peace, reconciliation and national unity ahead of the elections.
