JUSTICE MINISTER CRITICIZES HUMAN RIGHTS’ JONGLEI WATER POISON REPORT

The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Michael Makuei Lueth has requested the United Nations Human Rights Division to share with the government their reports before submission to the Human Rights Council to allow for the government input.

This comes during a meeting between the Minister and the UNMISS Human Rights Division over preparation for the upcoming human rights council in Genève.

The Minister criticizes the previous report to the human rights council on the Water poison in northern Jonglei saying it’s baseless.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Mary Ajith said the Minister also discussed capacity building programs and possibilities of having printing press to aid printing of laws and legal documents in the Ministry of Justice.
