SSD SCHOOL EXCELS IN THE EAST AFRICA INTER-SCHOOL DEBATE TOURNAMENT

A brilliant South Sudanese School, Venus International Academy has brought prestige to the country, after winning the East African Inter School Debate Tournament, which was conducted in Nairobi Kenya and another in Kigali Rwanda simultaneously. The first tournament for Venus International Secondary section, took place in Nairobi where they defeated most of the schools in open debate, winning medals and a cup, while the Primary Section participated in Kigali and emerged first in the tournament, winning both medals and Cups for the team. Addressing the Students during reception at the Ministry of General Education and Instructions, the Undersecretary Omot Okonyi Olok congratulated the students and encouraged them to keep practicing, adding that education is not only in the classroom but also experience from social settings.
