Governor Ohisa, Ecobank CESA Discuss Financial Inclusion and Liquidity Concerns

A delegation from Ecobank Central, Eastern and Southern Africa (CESA) on Friday met with the Governor of Bank of South Sudan (BoSS), Hon. Johnny Ohisa Damian in Juba.The delegation included Josephine Anan-Ankomah, Ecobank’s Regional Executive for Central, Eastern and Southern Africa; Emmanuel Wakili, the region’s Chief Operating Officer; Stephen Tutu, Chairman of the Board; and Didier Koffi Yobou, Managing Director of Ecobank South Sudan.During the meeting, the officials discussed financial sector development priorities, support for financial system and broader economic stability, including efforts to address liquidity concerns.The delegation commended Governor Ohisa for his efforts to ensure commercial banks received cash supplies to meet salary payments and customer withdrawal demands.Anan-Ankomah said Ecobank remains committed to partnering with the government in areas including financial inclusion, private sector development, banking solutions, and national economic reforms.Governor Ohisa acknowledged the concerns raised during the meeting and pledged that the government is working to address liquidity concerns and restore confidence in the financial
