Russia says it is standing alongside the country as support for its sovereignty, stability and democratic transition and not to shape its political choices, following a meeting the Caretaker Minister of Presidential Affairs Africano Mande Gedima and the Russian Ambassador Aleksandra Kosmodemyansky, which focus on deepening a partnership that stretches from trade and investment to education, culture and humanitarian cooperation. Both Presidential Press Secretary Arek Ajou Deng and the Russian Diplomat say the meeting explored expanding cultural and humanitarian ties, including cooperation in education, culture and the teaching and promotion of the Russian language in South Sudan.
