Interior Minister, British Ambassador Discuss Security & Election Preparedness

The Minister of Interior, Aleu Ayieny Aleu, discusses security and election-related matters with British Ambassador David Ashley. Deputy Minister Mangar Buong commends the British Government for its support during the liberation struggle and after independence in 2011. Mangar says the Ministry of Interior would work closely with the British Embassy to advance its plans to create a conducive and secure environment for the forthcoming elections. For his part, Diplomat Ashley says the meeting covered a range of issues, including economic recovery, election security, and ongoing inter-communal conflicts in parts of Warrap State.
