The SPLM has launched a membership registration and renewal exercise in Western Equatoria State as part of preparations for December 2026 general elections. The exercise was inaugurated in Yambio by Governor and SPLM State Chairperson Badagbu Daniel who presided over a gathering of party leaders and supporters drawn from the state ten counties. Governor Rimbasa described the initiative as a historic moment for the party, emphasizing that the registration would enable the SPLM to establish accurate membership figures and its structures in the state.
