The Caretaker Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Peter Mayen Majongdit, has convened with a delegation from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) over South Sudan’s growing humanitarian needs and challenges affecting the delivery of life-saving assistance to vulnerable communities. During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation and improving coordination to ensure that humanitarian assistance reaches people in need across the country. The discussions come at a time when South Sudan continues to face multiple humanitarian challenges, underscoring the need for a coordinated and timely response from the government and its humanitarian partners to support affected populations.
