<p >The Minister of East African Community Affairs, Pieng Deng Kuol, who also chairs the Ministerial Economic Reform Committee, is seeking the allocation of a vast tract of land for the establishment of East African Community-owned institutions aimed at promoting regional investment and trade cooperation. This follows a meeting between Minister Kuol and the Governor of Central Equatoria State, Emmanuel Adil Anthony, focused on fostering economic development.<o:p></o:p></p><p > </p><p> </p><p >The meeting also strengthened collaboration to ensure the permanent removal of illegal checkpoints along the Juba–Nimule Highway with both Authorities in both Juba and Torit are being urged to intensify joint efforts to prevent the re-emergence of illegal roadblocks, improve revenue collection, and support national economic diversification following the government’s recent economic reform engagement in Nimule.<o:p></o:p></p>
