President Kiir, has officially signed the East African Community Statistics Bureau Act, 2025 into law, fully domesticating the regional bloc's legal and institutional framework within South Sudan. Speaker of the National Assembly Joseph Ngere Paciko, alongside East African Community Affairs Minister Pieng Deng Kuol presented the Bill was to the president before the signing. The Minister of East African Community Affairs Pieng Deng Kuol says the enactment of the law would facilitate South Sudan's regional integration process. The EAC Statistics Bureau is a regional institution established by the East African Legislative Assembly to harmonise, produce, and disseminate demographic, economic, and social statistics across the community.
