Humanitarian authorities and Norway are intensifying efforts to address critical funding shortfalls that threaten life-saving assistance to vulnerable communities. The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management and the Norwegian Ambassador to South Sudan have convened a consultative meeting to review ways to respond the humanitarian situation across the country.  The discussions focused on the scale of humanitarian needs facing conflict-affected, displaced populations, and returnees, as well as the widening gap in donor funding that continues to hamper response efforts. Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Albino Akol Atak, Says the meeting discussed the challenges facing vulnerable communities and humanitarian agencies across the country. The Norwegian Ambassador to South Sudan, Roar Haugsdal, reaffirmed Norway’s shared commitment to strengtheninf resilience, and supporting communities struggling to recover from the impacts of conflict, displacement, and other humanitarian crises
