Senior Presidential Envoy on Special Programs, Adut Kiir, has reaffirmed her commitment to strengthening South Sudan's preparedness against the threat of Ebola following a visit to the National Public Health Institute (NPHI) in Juba. Accompanied by the Minister of Health, Luke Thompson, the Envoy engages with health officials and development partners to prevent a possible Ebola outbreak. Health experts and partners welcomed the Envoy's visit, highlighting several challenges facing response efforts, including logistical constraints that need increased support to strengthen surveillance and emergency response systems. Adut donated vehicles to strengthen logistics and facilitate the transportation of medical supplies to various parts of the country.
